Hi, everyone!
Grandma and Grandpa took me on a trip to Toronto Canada! Grandma’s niece Bev was at a class there, so we drove around Lake Ontario to meet her. Bev said she wanted to visit the CN Tower, so that’s where we went first. The CN Tower is the tallest building in Toronto. We took a streetcar to get there.
We had to wait in line to buy tickets to go up to the observation deck, and then we had to wait inside to take the elevator up to the observation deck. While we were waiting for the elevator, I met Mountie moose and told him about Moose-san. The observation deck is a long way up! I could see the city and part of Lake Ontario. When I used the telescope, I could see even farther!
After we walked around inside, we went downstairs to the outside deck. It was really windy there, so we went back inside. Guess what? There were glass panels in the floor, just like at the Tokyo Tower! I got to look straight down, and it’s a LONG way! While we were waiting to take the elevator back down, I read a lot of interesting things about the Tower.
We could see the Art Gallery of Ontario from the base of the tower, so we walked there to see the new part of the building. On the way, I made friends with some animal statues in a little park. There were lots of trucks parked along the street, with power cords across the sidewalk. Somebody was setting up to make a movie! Bev helped me look at the equipment, but I was careful not to touch anything! Then we walked through Chinatown and I saw another moose! Then I made friends with a dragon at a health fair.
Kensington Market is a really interesting neighborhood! I made a fuzzy pink friend and met a dog that likes to carry a skateboard around. Then I found a clover patch planted in a car! I looked for four leaf clovers, but I didn’t find any. When it was time for dinner, we walked to Fressen restaurant and had a yummy vegan dinner. When Grandpa ordered “moose” for dessert, I was afraid my new moose friends might get mad! But it turned out to be a chocolate and avocado and almond milk mousse covered with fruit. Doesn’t it look pretty? After dinner, we took the streetcar back to where Bev was staying and went to our hotel.
Before we left Toronto, I made friends with another moose! This one was right in front of our hotel! I have a lot of moose friends now!
Love,
Lion-san
Moose-san thinks it is great that you are finding and making new Moose friends. He helped Nancy-san write this!
