Party Time in Bangkok!

Hi everyone!
Grandma and I have been in Bangkok for more than a week! We are staying in the visiting faculty quarters at the nursing dorm. When we arrived, we got a malia, which is sort of like a Hawaiian lei. It was made with jasmine blossoms and smelled very sweet! There was fruit on our table, too! Grandma had to teach me which part of a mangosteen to eat. Continue reading “Party Time in Bangkok!”

Snowy Christmas!

Hi, everyone!
I had a lot of fun getting ready for Christmas! On the Thursday before Christmas, Uncle Steven and Aunt Kara and James came! They got here just in time for supper, then Uncle Steven put the lights on my new tree friend. The branches opened out, just like I promised the tree when we got it and brought it home. I played with James, and I helped Grandpa and Uncle Steven put the lights on the tree. Continue reading “Snowy Christmas!”

Getting Ready for Christmas!

Hi, Everyone!
We still don’t have any snow on the ground, but I’m helping Grandma and Grandpa get ready for Christmas!
First, I helped Grandma make new Christmas stockings for Aunt Kara and James. Grandma made stockings for Uncle Bill and for Bill-kun and Karin-chan’s daddy and for Uncle Steven when Uncle Steven was a baby, just like James is now. Grandma couldn’t find exactly the same fabric to make new ones for Aunt Kara and James, but I made sure the decorations were just the same! Continue reading “Getting Ready for Christmas!”

Lots to Remember!

Hi, everyone!
Grandma and Grandpa and I had Thanksgiving dinner with my best buddies Joe-san and Nancy-san and Moose-san. Nancy-san makes the stuffing for the turkey with bread from the bake sale! Moose-san and I were good helpers. We made sure the turkey was done and the plum pudding was steamed. When it was time for dessert, Moose-san and I served the plum pudding and the apple pie. Getting Ready for Fall

Hi, everyone!

It’s definitely getting to be fall here! Last time I wrote, I had just made friends with the only Peace rose to bloom on Grandma’s rose bush this year. Then the vines on the trees at Sodus turned red, and now the oak leaves in Fairport are beginning to fall. It won’t be long until I have big leaf piles to play in again!
