Goodbye July … and the Cousins!

Hi, everyone!

While James was at Peacemakers and Bill-kun and Karin-chan were at Allendale-Columbia Day Camp, Grandma and Thomas made another batch of party mix for his daddy.  Of course, Thomas had to eat some to make sure it tasted OK!  Uncle David gave Thomas a piano lesson.  After Peacemakers, James showed me how he plays his drum set. James and Thomas … and Karin and Bill!

Hi, everyone!

James really likes boats — building them out of Legos and riding in them!  The first Saturday after he got here, we went out to Sodus so he could take a ride in Grandpa’s boat.  Both he and Thomas got a chance to drive the boat with Grandpa’s help.  Grandma said they were the steering committee!  The weather was nice, so we had lunch on the porch.  Then Aunt Kara lined up all the Matchbox cars by color and James counted them all! James and Thomas!

Hi, everyone!  Last week I was very busy getting ready for James and Thomas and their mommy to come visit!  First, Grandpa and I finished putting the railing on the back deck in Fairport.  It looks very nice!  We had to get that done so we could pick up all the tools Grandpa was using in the family room.  Grandma said it wasn’t a good idea to let Thomas play with drills and saw blades! A Few Days in Brunssum!

Hi, everyone!

Grandma and Grandpa and I flew back to Belgium with Uncle Steven’s family to spend a few days after our Norway trip.  The flight from Oslo to Charleroi isn’t very long, but getting to the airport in Oslo on the bus, checking in for the flight and driving from Charleroi back into the Netherlands to Brunssum took all of Tuesday!  We had to stop for pizza at Happy Italy restaurant because we couldn’t get home in time for dinner.  Continue reading “A Few Days in Brunssum!”

Norway in a Nutshell!

Hi, everyone!

After our tour in Iceland ended, we stayed in Keflavik overnight near the airport.  We had to leave for the airport at 5 a.m. on Saturday, but it was already daylight!  This flight took us farther east and a little bit south, to Oslo Norway.  Uncle Steven and his family invited us to meet them there to take a short tour of Norway. Someplace New!

Hi, everyone!

Last Wednesday I helped Grandpa put the last Trex deck boards on the lower section of the deck.  Doesn’t it look nice?   I thought we would finish the railing next, but Grandpa said we had to go out to Sodus to mow the lawn, instead.  It was very windy when we went to the Point to watch sunset.  The sand was blowing all over!  Thursday was a little nicer, so we got the lawn mowed.  I even had time to make friends with a tulip tree blossom before we went back to Fairport!

Friday morning, Grandma and Grandpa took me to the airport to start another trip!  Grandma told me we were going to go walking in Iceland!  Continue reading “Someplace New!”
