The Further Adventures of Lion-San

Traditions!

Hi, everyone!

From Thanksgiving to Christmas, Grandma and Grandpa have a lot of traditions!  I love doing the same special things every year with them!  On Thanksgiving, we have a turkey dinner with Joe-san and Nancy-san and Moose-san and Tilly (unless, of course, we’re all in Japan like last year).  Continue reading “Traditions!”

House Hunting!

Hi, everyone!

Baking, Raking and Corbett’s Glen!

Hi, everyone!
On the last Thursday in October, Grandma took me to Corbett’s Glen town park to look for salmon swimming upstream to spawn. Grandma’s friend told her that happened around Halloween. Continue reading “Baking, Raking and Corbett’s Glen!”

Pie!

Hi, everyone!

The week before last, Grandma went to her 50th college reunion.  She saw some of her classmates and got a 50th reunion coffee mug and medallion.  Grandma says I can have her 50th reunion tote bag  to be my new travel bag! Continue reading “Pie!”

Cooking Adventures, Mostly!

Hi, everyone!

The leaves on the trees are mostly still green and the temperatures are in the 70s F. most days, but there are some signs of fall.  Grandma and I went to Powers Farm Market, and the tepees are finished!  Continue reading “Cooking Adventures, Mostly!”

Signs of Fall?

Hi, everyone!

On Saturday right after I wrote last time, my church friends came out to the bay for apple picking!  Grandma made sure I was all set with my bag before everyone else got to the orchard.  Continue reading “Signs of Fall?”

Markets, Tarps and Celebrations!

Hi, everyone!

The first two weeks of September have really been busy!  The very first day of September, Grandma and I drove to my traveling buddy Averil-san’s house to pick up a very special cake!  Continue reading “Markets, Tarps and Celebrations!”

Wrapping Up the Summer!

Paddles and Wheels!

Hi, everyone!

After James and Thomas left, I got my first ride of the season in Grandma’s kayak!  I borrowed Thomas’ life jacket, and it fits even better than mine!  Grandma said it was about time for the rose mallows to bloom, so we paddled over to the wetlands to see. Continue reading “Paddles and Wheels!”

The End of the Visit

Hi, everyone!

The second week James and Thomas and Aunt Kara were here was another busy week!  Grandma bought James and Thomas new firefighter pajamas and now they are the favorites to wear to bed. Thomas wanted to wear his to play outside, too!  Continue reading “The End of the Visit”
