Hi, Everyone!
After Grandma finished restaining the house, she repainted most of the trim, too. Then she and Grandpa decided that they wanted the front door to be a different color. It’s been the same color for 35 years — a paint color named “Pizza”. Continue reading “The Pizza Colored Door is No More!”

Labor Day
Hi, Everyone!
I had a really good time over Labor Day weekend!
It’s the middle of fresh peach season, and when Grandma and I went to the farm market, we found some special peaches. Don’t they look yummy? We were getting ready for Uncle Steven and Aunt Kara to come to Sodus for the weekend. And guess what? They brought Kara’s mom along too! Continue reading “Labor Day”
Back in New York
Hi, Everyone!
When I got back from my trip to the Canadian Rockies with Papa Dick-san and Grandma Sue-san and the Losee-sans, Grandma and Grandpa took me for a trip much closer to home. We went hiking at Alasa Farms, near Grandma and Grandpa’s cottage at Sodus. The Genesee Land Trust just got a conservation easement there. Grandma says that means the land will stay like it is now, no matter who owns it. Continue reading “Back in New York”
Rocky Mountain Hi!
Hi, Everyone!
I’m back from my trip to the Canadian Rockies with Papa Dick-san and Grandma Sue-san and the Losee-sans. I had a really good time and made lots of new friends.
Our first stop was in Yoho National Park, which is right next to Banff National Park. I climbed up a tree so I could get a good look at Takakkow Falls. Then my new friend LaVache and I hiked around Emerald Lake. Continue reading “Rocky Mountain Hi!”
Off to Canada!
Hi, Everyone!
I am off on an adventure in the Canadian Rockies with Papa Dick-san, Grandma Sue-san and the Losee-sans. We had a very long day getting to Banff. It was good that I was there to help find our way, though. Would you believe the pilot in Chicago flew the wrong way to get to Calgary? Continue reading “Off to Canada!”
Sailing!
Hi, Everyone!
Yesterday, Grandma and Grandpa took me sailing! When we got to Sodus in the afternoon, there was a nice sailing breeze. Grandpa got the sails out of the closet, and Grandma helped me put on my life jacket so I could go along. Continue reading “Sailing!”
Saturday at Sodus
Hi, Everyone!
Yesterday was a pretty typical summer day at Sodus!
First, Grandma got me up to see the sunrise. That was really early, but watching the sun reflecting off the clouds before it actually rose was worth it! And I got to go back to bed for a while afterward.
After breakfast, I wanted to go on a kayak paddle. Grandma said the wind was a good direction and speed to go for a paddle all the way to Sodus Point, and that’s what we did! Continue reading “Saturday at Sodus”
A Party at the Zoo!
Hi, Everyone!
Last night Grandma and Grandpa took me to a birthday party at the Seneca Park Zoo. Tom-san is celebrating his seventieth birthday! He is a member of Grandma and Grandpa’s church and he sings in the choir. So I knew lots of people at the party. The zoo is a fun place for a party! Continue reading “A Party at the Zoo!”
Friends and Food
Hi, Everyone!
Since we got back from California, I’ve been helping make a lot of food for my friends to eat. It’s always fun to make food when I know we’re going to have a party!
The basil Grandma is growing on the back deck got big enough to harvest, so we made pesto. Continue reading “Friends and Food”
Even More California!
Hi, Everyone!
On Sunday, Grandma helped Moose-san and me blog about our San Francisco adventures before Grandpa’s birthday dinner. On Monday, we all had breakfast at the hotel with Aunt Kara and Uncle Steven. I helped Grandma make waffles with strawberries for everybody. Then Moose-san and I helped Grandma pack a box of coffee and jelly beans. Continue reading “Even More California!”
