Japan!

Hi, everyone!

Moose-san and I are on a big adventure with Grandma and Grandpa and Joe-san and Nancy-san.  We are in Japan visiting Uncle David’s family!  The flight from O’Hare to Narita was thirteen hours long, and then we took a bus to Tama Center.  The rush hour traffic was heavy in Tokyo, so that bus ride was another three and a half hours.  We were really tired when Uncle David’s family met us at the bus stop!  Our hotel was right across the street from the bus stop and Bill-kun and Karin-chan helped us check in. Pumpkins and Pies!

Hi, everyone!

Now the leaves are really starting to fall!  I’ve been helping Grandma with her “to do” list of autumn tasks.  The next thing on the list was getting all the carpets cleaned in Fairport!  I helped Grandma and Grandpa move all the small furniture off the carpets in the living room, dining room, family room and master bedroom.  We had a lot of chairs, lamps and end tables stored in all the other rooms!  Continue reading “Pumpkins and Pies!”

End of August Report

Hi, everyone!

It’s been very hot, but we have had a few days when it was cool enough for Grandma and Grandpa to work outside on projects.  I helped Grandpa finish leveling the back deck in Fairport.  I had to pull down on the board very hard to lever up the support beams!  The baby rabbit came back to inspect our work on the deck, but it’s not a baby any more!  At Sodus, Grandma scrubbed the deck and the stairs to the boathouse so that she could restain them. Goodbye July … and the Cousins!

Hi, everyone!

While James was at Peacemakers and Bill-kun and Karin-chan were at Allendale-Columbia Day Camp, Grandma and Thomas made another batch of party mix for his daddy.  Of course, Thomas had to eat some to make sure it tasted OK!  Uncle David gave Thomas a piano lesson.  After Peacemakers, James showed me how he plays his drum set. James and Thomas … and Karin and Bill!

Hi, everyone!

James really likes boats — building them out of Legos and riding in them!  The first Saturday after he got here, we went out to Sodus so he could take a ride in Grandpa’s boat.  Both he and Thomas got a chance to drive the boat with Grandpa’s help.  Grandma said they were the steering committee!  The weather was nice, so we had lunch on the porch.  Then Aunt Kara lined up all the Matchbox cars by color and James counted them all!
