Hi, Everyone!
When Grandma and Grandpa took me out to Sodus Bay on Friday, I couldn’t find it! The fog was so thick that we couldn’t see across the bay. But after an hour or so, the fog wore away and it was a nice, sunny afternoon. Grandma’s azaleas and rhododendrons are starting to bloom, too. Continue reading “Fog!”

Washington DC!
Hi, Everyone!
This weekend Grandma and Grandpa took me to Washington DC to visit Uncle Steven and Aunt Kara. It’s a short airplane flight from Rochester, but we had to wait three extra hours on Friday evening for the plane to be ready to go. Uncle Steven had to stay up very late to pick us up at the airport. Grandma said it’s a good thing neither Uncle Steven nor I get cranky when we’re up after our bedtimes! Continue reading “Washington DC!”
All That Jazz
Hi, Everyone!
Last Sunday, Harlan and Katie came out to Sodus to help Grandma and Grandpa put the dock in the water. We’ve had so much rain that the water level is really high! Grandma says maybe that will help keep the blue-green algae away this year. I hope so! Continue reading “All That Jazz”
Easter!
Hi, Everyone!
The rain did stop long enough for me to get out to make friends with the April flowers. Aren’t they pretty? The red tulips are friends with my favorite sunbeam, too. Look how they open up when our sunbeam comes around! Continue reading “Easter!”
Where is my Sunbeam?
Hi, Everyone!
Grandma told me this is Holy Week. Followers of Christ pay special attention to the end of the story that starts at Christmas, when Jesus was born. Last Sunday, the children at church gave everybody palm branches to remind them of the way Jesus entered his holy city, Jerusalem, for the last time. Continue reading “Where is my Sunbeam?”
Springtime!
Hi, Everyone!
The weather is getting warmer most days, and I think the snow might be all gone for this year. Yesterday I was sitting in my favorite sunbeam with the sliding glass door open, and a big gust of wind blew me over!
Lots of crocus are coming up, but some of them are coming up in places that Grandma didn’t plant them! It’s a puzzle how they got there, but they look pretty, anyway. Continue reading “Springtime!”
The Travel Dinner
Hi, Everyone!
Since we got back from Bangkok, it’s been getting warmer in Fairport. On St. Patrick’s Day, Grandma and I found the first crocus in bloom on the south side of the house. But look what happened after that! We have winter again! Continue reading “The Travel Dinner”
Chiang Mai
Sawat dee, Everyone!
Our last Thai adventure was in Chiang Mai, a city in the north. Before we left Bangkok, our hosts there gave us a farewell bouquet of jasmine flowers. It smelled very nice! When we got to Chiang Mai, we checked into a hotel close to the night market. Continue reading “Chiang Mai”
A Weekend in the City
Sawat Dee, Everyone!
This was a week of adventures right in Bangkok. First, the banana roti lady was back! I was glad Grandpa finally got a chance to eat one right after it was cooked. Then, we went out to eat with Grandma’s friends from the Faculty of Nursing at Grandma’s favorite restaurant. The name of the restaurant is Khinlom-Chom-Sa-Phan, which means “watch the river, eat the breeze.” It is on the river near the Rama VIII bridge, so it’s a very pretty place after dark. Continue reading “A Weekend in the City”
Dinosaurs and Turtles and Snakes, Oh My!
Sawat dee, Everyone!
We were in Khon Kaen for the week, so Grandma could teach some people there. Khon Kaen is northeast of Bangkok, and it is famous for the dinosaur fossils that are being found nearby. When we got to our hotel, there was a red carpet out! I was excited at being treated like a famous person, but I found out the hotel was getting ready for a visit by a member of the royal family. Continue reading “Dinosaurs and Turtles and Snakes, Oh My!”
