Hi, Everyone!
We’ve been having really warm weather here. It’s more like summer than spring! One day this week was the warmest temperature for that date ever recorded here – 80 degrees F. in March! All my spring flower friends are blooming extra-early, even the ones that forgot where they were supposed to be! Continue reading “Spring!”

Hawaii Memories
Hi, Everyone!
We spent a lot of time last week getting ready for the travel dinner! I helped Grandpa make banana ice cream in the new ice cream maker. Then I helped Grandma make the monkey bread to go with the ice cream. After that, I helped Grandma make a BIG batch of okonomiyaki sauce. We put it in squeeze bottles so we could have some at every table for the travel dinner. Continue reading “Hawaii Memories”
Aloha Part V
Hi, Everyone!
We had to get up early to catch the plane in Kauai to go to Maui. By the time we got there, it was lunchtime and everybody was hungry. So we stopped at Beach Bums in Maalaea Harbor to have lunch. Moose-san and I really liked the fried zucchini. Grandma says liking fried zucchini runs in the family! Continue reading “Aloha Part V”
Aloha Part IV
Hi, Everyone!
Boy, did I have a busy time on Kauai showing Moose-san around! First, I had to take him on a walk around our part of the resort, so he would know where he was. Then, right after Bill-kun and Karin-chan and their mommy and daddy left, we drove to Waimea Canyon. I was there two years ago, and I knew Moose-san would like it. Continue reading “Aloha Part IV”
Aloha Part III
Hi, Everyone!
Bill-kun and Karin-chan and their mommy and daddy came to Hawaii, too! I gave Bill-kun and Original Lion-san a big welcome hug! It was a very long trip for them to come from Japan, so I showed Original Lion-san where to take a nap in the sun. Continue reading “Aloha Part III”
Aloha, Part II
Hi, Everyone!
Grandma and Grandpa and I spent last Saturday getting ready for Uncle Steven and Aunt Kara to join us. Grandma made butterscotch scones for breakfast, then we went to the Saturday Farmers Market in Lihue. We got a ti leaf lei from the Heavenly Haku lady, and she showed me how she makes leis and head wreaths. Then we bought bread from Ursa-san at Midnight Bear Bakery and a low acid pineapple and some apple bananas. So we were all set when Uncle Steven and Aunt Kara’s plane arrived! Continue reading “Aloha, Part II”
Ground Hog Day
Hi, Everyone!
Guess what? I’m off on another adventure with Grandma and Grandpa! On Wednesday morning we got up very early to go to the airport. We flew to Chicago, then to Los Angeles, then to Lihue, Hawaii on the island of Kauai! We’ve flown so many miles in the past year that we got upgraded to first class seats for some of the flights. I like first class! Continue reading “Ground Hog Day”
Where Did the Snow Go?
Hi, Everyone!
When Grandma and Grandpa took me out to Sodus last Sunday, there was some snow on the ground. We had to park on the road and walk in, and there were a few ice fisherman on our end of the bay. We had a very pretty sunset! Continue reading “Where Did the Snow Go?”
Snow at Last!
Hi, Everyone!
Last year this time, when Karin-chan and Bill-kun were here, we had lots of snow on the ground. But up to last week, there wasn’t any snow this year that stayed more than a day. When Grandma and Grandpa took me out to Sodus last weekend, there was no snow and the bay wasn’t even completely frozen. Continue reading “Snow at Last!”
Not What We Expected!
Hi, Everyone!
Aunt Kara gave Uncle Steven a label maker for Christmas, and look at the first label he made! I don’t think Aunt Kara needs a label to know where the baby is, now that the baby is kicking her. After Aunt Kara and Uncle Steven went back to Arlington, Grandma and Grandpa hosted their usual New Years Eve party. I got to stay up for dinner with my friends, and Joe-san helped me toast the New Year with sparkling grape juice. Continue reading “Not What We Expected!”
