Noumea and the Coral Sea!

Hi, everyone! After Gala Tea, I made a new friend! Butlog lives with Robielyn-san, my favorite crew member who helps me learn how to do new things while Grandma and Grandpa are at dinner. Robielyn-san brought Butlog to play with me and have a sleepover! Continue reading “Noumea and the Coral Sea!”

Fiji and Gala Tea!

Hi, everyone!
After Tonga, we cruised west to the biggest island in Fiji, Viti Levu. Our first stop was on the northwest side of the island, at Lautoka. We had the morning free to walk around town. Lautoka is in a sugar cane growing area, and the tracks for the sugar cane trains run right down the middle of the main street! Continue reading “Fiji and Gala Tea!”

Toward Tonga!

Hi, everyone!
It took most of three days and two nights to get from Bora Bora to Tonga! The first morning, there was a very pretty sunrise. Grandma Sue-san told us that red skies in the morning are a sign of bad weather, and she was right! We had rain and strong winds all day and part of the next day! Continue reading “Toward Tonga!”

Bora Bora!

Hi, everyone!
When we got up on Monday, we were anchored in the lagoon at Bora Bora. There were clouds hiding the top of Mount Otemanu, but at least it wasn’t raining! Bora Bora is a collapsed volcano surrounded by a fringe reef that protects it from surf. Continue reading “Bora Bora!”

Cold or Rainy!

Hi, everyone!
Last week was cold enough that the bay was completely frozen and ice fishermen were out! Grandpa decided it was time to drain the plumbing for the winter so the pipes don’t freeze in the cold weather. Then it was time to take the Ground Hog Day cookies to the post office. Continue reading “Cold or Rainy!”

Brrrrr!

Hi, everyone!
It’s been really cold here since New Years! Lots of days, we’ve also had strong winds, and that makes it feel even colder! There was one rainy afternoon with temperatures above freezing, and Grandma got the lights off the apple trees then. Continue reading “Brrrrr!”

Happy New Year!

Hi, everyone!
My friend La Vache stayed over after the stollen party until Christmas Eve. Grandma and I took her home and we stopped on the way to deliver some stollen at church. Continue reading “Happy New Year!”

Parties with Friends!

Hi, everyone!
Last Saturday, Grandma and Grandpa took me to Tuba Christmas! Tuba Christmas happens all over the country this time of year, and we go to the one in Rochester when we can. Low brass instrument players come from all over the area to play Christmas carols, and the sound is very special! Continue reading “Parties with Friends!”

Getting Ready for Christmas!

Hi, everyone!
It’s getting closer and closer to Christmas! Last weekend, La Vache invited me to my first Christmas party of the season! Her grandma served lots of yummy appetizers and desserts. And guess what? Our book was at the party for all the other guests to read! Continue reading “Getting Ready for Christmas!”
