Hi, everyone!
This week it’s been really warm for November! On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, it was sunny and the temperatures were close to 60 degrees F.! That gave Grandma and me a chance to put the lights on the apple trees under really good conditions! There were still some leaves high up on the biggest trees, but none where we wanted to put the lights! I was a good helper. First, we checked all the strings of lights to make sure they lit up, then we took them outside to put on the trees. Now that we have LED bulbs, the lights don’t use as much electric power and the strings can all be plugged together. I helped Grandma put the first two strings together. When we got to the space between the last two apple trees, I made sure the string of lights crossing the space was high enough that nobody would run into it! At the very end of the last string, I helped make the loop to keep the end of the lights where it’s supposed to be. I want to see what design the lights will make when they’re lit, but Grandma says we’ll wait until our special turning on day for that!
The weather got cooler on Thursday and stayed that way, but I’m glad it was dry on Friday. Grandma and Grandpa got new furniture for the family room! They’d been shopping on and off for three years and finally found something they liked. The furniture delivery men were very good at figuring out how to fit the loveseat through the door from the garage, but the sofa was too long to come in the same way. Grandpa had to take the moving part of the sliding glass door out to make a space big enough for the sofa! When the door was back together, the furniture man borrowed Grandpa’s cordless drill to fasten the legs onto the new furniture. Everybody was glad the drill battery had a good charge! The furniture men took the old furniture away in their truck. I helped put the loveseat in! Doing that reminded me of loading Nancy-san’s truck with the bake sale supplies! So now I have a new favorite place to sit during the day when I’m not having adventures. It’s really comfortable!
Love,
Lion-san
We all wished our outside lights were on already. There isn’t much time now before they will get turned on, Joe-san said that since you are such a good light stringer maybe you could come over and give him some pointer’s. The new living room furniture looks great and very comfortable.
