Where is my Sunbeam?

Hi, Everyone!

Grandma told me this is Holy Week.  Followers of Christ pay special attention to the end of the story that starts at Christmas, when Jesus was born.  Last Sunday, the children at church gave everybody palm branches to remind them of the way Jesus entered his holy city, Jerusalem, for the last time.

Since then, my favorite sunbeam has been playing hide and seek with me!  One day, while my sunbeam was hiding, the neighbor’s cat came for a visit.  I don’t think he was very friendly.  He just stared at me for a while before he walked away.

Then we had a really big rainstorm, and my sunbeam hid all day!  Grandma told me that she saw flooded creeks on her way to work.  Today, we even had a little bit of snow again, but it melted right away.  I was really happy when my sunbeam came back afterwards.

Everybody says “April showers bring May flowers”, but I hope the weather warms up so I can go outside and make friends with the April flowers before they are all gone!

Love,

Lion-san

  1. Hi Lion-san! Sorry we missed your Travel Dinner – sounds yummy! We were over 700 miles away (where there is a LOT MORE sun) visiting our 4 1/2 yr. old granddaughter and her parents. When we got home last week we discovered something had bitten off all the snowdrops and crocuses — bunnies?
