Hi, everyone!
We’ve had some crazy weather! Nine days ago, the temperature got up to 60 degrees F.! Then it went down to 10 degrees F. one morning. Last weekend, we had snow that turned to rain then back to snow! Today, it’s cold again, but the sun is shining and the new snow is very pretty!
On the really warm day, Rudy invited me to a party! I thought Christmas was over, but Rudy was still celebrating! I got to see my friend EUS, and I made some new friends, too! There was lots of yummy food at Rudy’s party! I made sure to thank Grandma Sue for helping Rudy entertain!
Last Saturday, the Packer-sans were planning to come pack the Groundhog Day cookies. I helped Grandma get the table ready for packing. That was the day that we had both snow and rain. The driving was very slippery and it wasn’t safe for the Packer-sans to come. So Grandma and I packed the cookies by ourselves. I helped tape the boxes into shape, then I helped line each box with a plastic bag. We are only sending four boxes this year, so it was easy for me to make sure the cookies were divided evenly!
Grandma wasn’t quite sure all the cookies would fit into four medium flat rate postal boxes, but they did! There was just enough room to add the cookie field guide and one layer of bubble wrap on top. The cookies didn’t even shift when Grandma put boxes back in the freezer on their sides!
Every day now that I can sit in a sunbeam, I’m practicing for Groundhog Day. Do you think I’ll see my shadow this year?
Love,
Lion-san
Tilly and Moose-san were sorry to miss Rudy’s party. The Mexican dip was yummy. They think they would have had a good time but then you met more people. It is too bad the Packer-san’s couldn’t help you pack the cookies this year. I bet you were a big help!
