Hi, everyone!
Last week, the piano tuner came to tune Grandma’s piano and Uncle David’s piano. Grandma told him that James had lost a penny in between the keys of Grandma’s piano, so the tuner pulled out the keyboard to get it. Guess what? There were THREE pennies in the piano, plus an eraser and a plastic disk! Now the pianos will sound nice if they are played together!
Last weekend was the choir party at Sodus. Moose-san came out with Joe-san and Nancy-san the night before the party to help out. The weather was very nice on Friday, so we went to Sodus Point to watch sunset. There weren’t any clouds in the sky at all!
The weather was perfect for the choir party! Moose-san and I were good helpers, making sure everybody had a good time! Somebody brought Grandma flowers, and the bouquet matched the colors in the kitchen tablecloth exactly! Reverend Greg and Deb-san brought their sailboat, so it really was a sailing party this year! James and Thomas and Aunt Kara came, and James was a good helper with the motorboat. He and Grandpa took people out to ride in the sailboat and brought them back, because the sailboat can’t come into water as shallow as the end of the dock! I made some new friends and saw lots of my travel buddies, too!
La Vache came to the choir party with Grandma Julie! I made sure La Vache got to meet Thomas, and they made friends right away! Then I introduced La Vache to my other choir friends while we waited for the hamburgers and hot dogs and chicken to cook. Right before dessert, Reverend Greg did the traditional parting of the red watermelon. This year, La Vache and I got to help! The watermelon was yummy!
Joe-san and Nancy-san and Moose-san stayed over after the party to help clean up. We had time to go watch sunset again, and this time we took the motorboat. Even though there were no clouds, the sunset was hazy because there are forest fires in Canada. On Sunday, Uncle Steven called on Skype, so Moose-san and I could say hello. Then we all went out to dinner at Skipper’s Landing, going by motorboat. Grandpa’s new favorite dish – jumbo shrimp with chipotle pesto cream sauce – was on the specials menu!
On Tuesday this week, Uncle David and Bill-kun and Karin-chan and Original Lion-san and Hitsuji are all coming to visit! Bill-kun and Karin-chan haven’t visited here since they moved to Japan, and they’ve never been to Sodus. I can’t wait to show them all the fun things to do here!
Love,
Lion-san
It was a fun party and Moose-san enjoyed coming and helping out. It is exciting that Uncle David, Bill-kun, Karin-chan, Original Lion-san and Hitsuji are coming too. You will have a fun time showing them all the fun things to do there.
