Hi, everyone!
Guess where I am? Grandma and I are taking another big trip!
We had to get to the airport really early in the morning, but I got a chance to see my luggage friends in the play area before we got on the plane. It was still dark when we got to the airport, but I got to see the sun and clouds on our first flight. Then we got on another big plane in Chicago. It was a very long flight! I took a nap and listened to the radio. By the time we got off the plane, it was already the next day! Look where I ended up!
After we got to Tokyo, Grandma and I took three trains to get to Bill-kun and Karin-chan’s house. There is snow and ice here, so I’m glad we didn’t have to walk from the train station this time! Bill-kun and Karin-chan had school on Saturday morning, but when they got home, we played trains together. It’s fun to be here again and to see my friends Original Lion-san and hitsuji-san. Bill-kun and Karin-chan and I helped Grandma make dinner. Then we watched a counting video and played with Legos until bedtime. Bill-kun and Karin-chan have a special mat for playing Legos, so it’s easy to pick them all up when they’re done.
When Grandma went shopping, she got apples. I think we might all make an apple pie together next!
Love,
Lion-san
We are glad you got to Toyko in great shape although I’m sure very tired. We are looking forward to hearing about your other adventures.
Nice navigating, Grandma. It looks like a lion party to me.
Were high winds an issue for your flight? Glad you could get out.
Julie
Grandma says the only effect of the winds was that the flight went really far north to cross the Pacific. The pilot warned us it would be bumpy getting into Narita, but it wasn’t bad at all!
Love,
Lion-san
