Hi, Everyone!
We’re finally beginning to get some nice weather! We’ve had enough sun that I could enjoy Grandma’s flowers at Sodus. Grandma says the yellow azalea is prettier than it has ever been before. I guess azaleas like cool, rainy weather better than I do! Over Memorial Day weekend, I helped Grandma plant the basil that Nancy-san grew for us. There are three kinds: Thai basil, lemon basil and “regular” basil. When we got done in the garden, Grandma said I needed a bath. Lions don’t like getting into water, so Grandma helped me take a cat bath and dried me off with a hair dryer afterward. Don’t I look nice and fluffy now?
Yesterday, we had pumpkin ravioli for dinner with the special Thai basil pesto that I helped Grandma make last summer. We picked some fresh Thai basil leaves to toss with the pasta. Everybody liked it, and I was proud I helped make such a yummy dish!
Love,
Lion-san
